Frequently asked questions
What makes Buda Leather different from mass-produced leather bags?
Buda Leather focuses on small-batch craftsmanship, natural full-grain leather, and designs with individual character. Our products are made by a real independent maker rather than mass-produced in large factories. Natural variations in each hide also mean that your Buda Leather piece has its own character.
How should I care for my Buda Leather bag?
Keep your leather bag away from excessive moisture, heat, and prolonged direct sunlight. Avoid using household cleaners or products that are not intended for leather. For most bags, gently wiping away surface dirt with a soft, dry cloth is a good starting point. If your specific product requires special care, follow the care instructions provided with your purchase.
Can I request a custom leather product?
We accept select custom orders depending on the project, materials, and current production schedule. If you have an idea for a custom leather bag, wallet, or other leather item, contact us with your concept and we can discuss the possibilities.
Are Buda Leather products one-of-a-kind?
Most Buda Leather products are one-of-a-kind or produced in very small quantities. Since we work with individual pieces of natural leather, no two hides are exactly alike. Even when we make the same design again, the leather, color, grain, and natural markings may vary.
Natural leather has its own character. Small variations in grain, color, texture, scars, wrinkles, and other markings are part of the material and are not considered defects. These natural characteristics are one of the reasons we love working with full-grain leather.
